Plaza Protocol emerged in late 2019 from an abandoned construction site of an underground shopping mall, located in a former gravel pit on the outskirts of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Since then, Plaza has been appearing across various transitional sites shaped, engaging with their material and symbolic dynamics. Exploring the ways culture might mutate to account for shifting, volatile environments, Plaza conspires with artists and other human and non-human agents to conjure worlding formations, engineer plots and protocols for living with/in the ruins of extractivism, and summon contours of realities that might come after.
